Pilots Women Continue Winning Ways
Coming off a week in which the Providence women's soccer program was ranked among the Top 10 teams in the country, the Pilots continued to show why they belong among the nation's top programs with two strong performances on home turf.
The Pilots opened the weekend with an impressive 11-0 victory over the Assiniboine Cougars. Providence's attack was firing on all cylinders, with six different Pilots finding the back of the net.
Among them was returning goal-scoring leaderÂ
Hannah Degueldre, who opened her MCAC campaign in style with two goals. Degueldre, who led the league in goals last season, made an immediate impact as the Pilots continued their strong offensive start to the season.
On Sunday, Providence faced another strong MCAC opponent in the University of Saint-Boniface Les Rouges. The Pilots kept their winning streak alive with a hard-fought 2-0 victory.
CaptainÂ
Serena Negrich andÂ
Hayley Medeiros each found the back of the net, while the Providence defence recorded another shutout.
