The Providence Pilots were busy across multiple sports this weekend, highlighted by a men's basketball split against Oak Hills Christian and a full slate of competitive volleyball action against Canadian Mennonite University.
Men's Basketball
Friday, January 23
Oak Hills Christian 76, Providence 65
The Pilots opened the weekend with a tough loss to Oak Hills Christian after staying within striking distance through the first half. Providence trailed by just three at halftime (39–38) but struggled offensively in the final quarter, shooting 21.1% from the field.

Saturday, January 24
Providence 76, Oak Hills Christian 62
The Pilots responded emphatically on Saturday, controlling the game from the opening tip. Providence built an early 24–16 first-quarter lead and held Oak Hills to 32.0% shooting while winning the rebounding battle 49–35.
- Once again, Rhys Maestre lef the Pilots with 22 points, followed behind by this semesters new arrival, Emmanuel Oleko with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
Men's Volleyball
Friday, January 23
Providence 3, CMU 0
(25–19, 25–20, 25–19)
Providence opened the weekend with a dominant sweep, hitting .403 as a team and recording 12 service aces.
Saturday, January 24
CMU 3, Providence 2
(23–25, 25–18, 27–25, 20–25, 15–11)
The Pilots pushed CMU to five sets in a tightly contested match but came up short in the decider.
Women's Volleyball
Friday, January 23
CMU 3, Providence 2
(25–27, 25–10, 25–27, 25–23, 15–7)
The Pilots battled through five sets in a back-and-forth contest but were unable to close out the match.
Saturday, January 24
Providence 3, CMU 2
(21–25, 25–21, 25–11, 16–25, 15–11)
Providence responded with a resilient five-set victory on Saturday, bouncing back after dropping the opening set to earn the road win. After splitting the first two sets, the Pilots dominated the third set 25–11 before regrouping in the decisive fifth to close out the match.

Sydney Turrene delivered a standout performance with 18 kills and 13 digs, leading the offense in all six rotations.

Tyra Peters anchored the back row with 16 digs while adding 7 kills offensively.
The win marked a strong response from the Pilots and capped off a competitive weekend at CMU.
