For the first time since 2013, the Providence Pilots Women's Soccer team is back on top of the MCAC!
After an outstanding season filled with determination, teamwork, and impressive performances, the Pilots capped off their conference campaign in spectacular fashion, capturing the 2026 MCAC Women's Soccer Championship on home turf.
The historic victory marks a significant milestone for the program, ending a 13-year championship drought and bringing the conference title back to Providence. It is also a particularly special achievement for Head Coach Tory Walker, who celebrates his first MCAC Championship after 11 years of coaching.

Entering the championship weekend as the No. 1 seed and tournament hosts, the Pilots lived up to expectations with two commanding performances. Providence opened the weekend with an 8-0 semi-final victory over the CMU Blazers before defeating the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges 3-0 in Sunday's championship final.
With 11 goals scored and none conceded across the two matches, the Pilots demonstrated the attacking depth, defensive discipline, and collective strength that defined their championship season.
In Sunday's final, Halle Owen, Hayley Medeiros, and Hannah Degueldre found the back of the net, sending the home crowd into celebration as the Pilots secured their long-awaited championship.
A Championship Built on Team Success
While the championship weekend provided the perfect ending to the conference season, this achievement represents much more than two victories. It is the reward for the commitment, hard work, and dedication of an entire group of student-athletes and coaches who worked together toward a common goal.
The Pilots' success was also reflected in several prestigious individual honours awarded throughout the championship weekend:
These individual recognitions further highlight the talent within the Pilots' roster, but it was their collective effort and commitment to one another that ultimately brought the championship trophy home.
For Coach Walker and his players, this is a moment to celebrate and remember. For the Providence Women's Soccer program, it is a return to the top of the conference after more than a decade.

Next Stop: CCAA National Championship!
The celebrations are well deserved, but the Pilots' journey isn't over yet!
With the MCAC Championship secured, Providence now turns its attention to the 2026 CCAA Women's Soccer National Championship, hosted by Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario.
The Pilots will take the national stage beginning November 11, with the championship final scheduled for November 14. They will compete against the best collegiate programs from across Canada, proudly representing Providence and the MCAC.
After making history at home, the Pilots now have an opportunity to carry their championship momentum onto the national stage.
Congratulations to Coach Tory Walker, the entire Women's Soccer team, and everyone who contributed to this historic achievement. The MCAC Championship trophy is finally coming back to Providence!
GO PILOTS!
