The Providence Pilots wrapped up their final basketball action of 2025 this past weekend, hitting the court for a pair of hard-fought men's matchups with the St. Boniface LEs Rouges, while the women's team closed their semester with a dominant home victory.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Friday, Dec. 5 – Providence 63, St. Boniface 69Â
The Pilots opened the weekend on the road and came out firing, riding a red-hot offensive night from Rhys Maestre, who poured in 32 points on 11-20 shooting, including 9 made threesÂ
 Providence led early behind Maestre's shot-making, and strong interior play from Danny Beauchamp and Hayden Wiebe, who each grabbed 7 rebounds.
Despite leading stretches in the first half, the Pilots struggled to contain St. Boniface forward Jean Daniel Nzekoue, who posted 27 points and 14 rebounds, allowing Les Rouges to pull ahead late. Providence fought until the end but came up just short, falling 69–63.
Saturday, Dec. 6 – Providence 62, St. Boniface 72Â
Back home at the CRRC, the Pilots turned in another gritty effort but couldn't slow down the Les Rouges' scoring punch, dropping their final game before the break.
Rhys Maestre once again led the way with 21 points while Lucas Egitto added 14, and Ilijah Roque chipped in 9 points, attacking the paint early to set the tone.
 Providence showed strong depth, with contributions across the roster, but St. Boniface shot efficiently in key stretches—particularly from long range—and capitalized on transition opportunities to seal the 72–62 result.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Friday, Dec. 5 – Providence 69, St. Boniface 64
The Pilots opened their weekend with an impressive road win, taking down the Rouges 69–64 in a gritty, high-effort battle. Providence dominated the glass all night, hauling in 58 total rebounds and using second-chance points to control long stretches of the game.
Faith LaRocque led the Pilots with a standout performance, pouring in 19 points while adding 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks in an all-around excellent showing.
Sydney Last provided a huge spark with 12 points, 6 steals, and 4 rebounds, turning defensive pressure into transition scoring.
Adrian Alley knocked down two threes on her way to 9 points, while Colby Darragh anchored the interior with 9 rebounds and 6 points.
Providence's relentless hustle—27 offensive rebounds and 32 fast-break points—proved to be the difference as the Pilots held off a late St. Boniface push to secure the road win and start the weekend 1–0.
Saturday, Dec. 6 – Providence 80, St. Boniface 58Â
The Pilots women closed out 2025 in impressive fashion, delivering a statement win on home court. After a tight first half, Providence erupted for 28 points in the third quarter, taking full control of the game and cruising to an 80–58 victory.
It was a true team performance, highlighted by balanced scoring up and down the roster. Faith LaRocque had a standout outing with 13 points, while Fiona Garcia added 10 and Nya Goulder contributed 11. Sydney Last chipped in 8 points, and first-year forward Lily Anderson dominated the glass with 9 reboundsÂ
The Pilots' depth shined throughout the night—60 of their 80 points came from the bench—showcasing the team's versatility and momentum heading into the break.
