Kendall Perpall Tabbed as Next Head Coach of Women’s Basketball

Providence University is excited to announce the hiring of Kendall Perpall as the next Head Coach of Women's Basketball. Kendall is very familiar with the Pilots program as he has spent the last 6 seasons an assistant coach on for the men's team. Over the past 3 seasons Kendall has witnessed the transformation of the women's program, led by former coach Joel Coursey, who introduced System basketball in 2022. The program won both the NIAC and MCAC Championships in 2024 with their unique style of play. Kendall is excited to continue System basketball and grow the history of success which the team has experienced recently.

    Kendall's basketball journey began at Randall University, and he later transferred to Providence University College, where he made a significant impact on the court. His accomplishments include: During his career, Kendall led Providence to both MCAC and NIAC Championship appearances, while helping the team secure the top seed in the NCCAA North Region. He earned a spot on the NCCAA All-American team, averaging 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals per game in NCCAA play. Kendall's versatile playing style and strong defensive and offensive presence on the court were key to his success and the team's achievements.













 

After his collegiate career, Kendall continued to excel as a professional player. He formed a semi-pro team in Oklahoma and played in the PBA league as a player-coach. His hard work paid off when he was named an All-Star starter, which led to his first professional contract in Canada with the Moncton Motion in 2023. There, he competed in the ECBL alongside his teammates for 1 season.
With over six years of coaching experience at multiple levels, Kendall's coaching journey spans grassroots to college athletes. Kendall has been the head coach for various youth club programs, such as PBL, Steinbach Storm, and YMCA teams, where his focus was on player development, positive team culture, and competition. Kendall has coached and mentored numerous athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate and university level. Kendall will now transition from his 6 seasons under the leadership of head coach Pierre Dubreuil to taking over the 13-year legacy left behind by coach Joel Coursey.
Kendall is deeply committed to community development, both through basketball and beyond. He is the founder of Team Overseen, a developmental program aimed at providing exposure, skill development, and opportunities for overlooked athletes. 
Kendall's coaching philosophy is centered around the holistic development of athletes, focusing on instilling confidence, accountability, work ethic, and character. His commitment to faith, community, and excellence is evident in his leadership and mentorship, as he invests in his athletes' success both on and off the court.
Providence University is excited to welcome Kendall Perpall to lead the women's basketball program, and looks forward to the continued growth and success of the team under his guidance.
